Windsurf was rebranded to Devin Desktop on 2 June 2026, which made an agent command center the default surface rather than a chat box.

A task an engineer hands over directly: by tagging Devin in Slack, through Teams, at the web app, from the command line, or through the API. Jira and Linear are connected, along with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps.
How a customer report reaches it
There is no help desk on the integrations page. Every door is an engineer, a tracker, or a chat with engineers in it, so by the time Devin sees anything a person has decided the work is worth doing and written it down.

Where Devin is the better fit

It works for hours, not minutes
Long-horizon autonomous work, on the order of three-hour tasks, in an environment it drives itself. Novix runs a bounded loop over one report and stops. On a big refactor that is not a close call.
It has a machine, not only a sandbox
A browser it can click through and a shell it can debug in beats a container that clones, builds and tests. Our sandbox proves a patch; their environment lets the agent go and look.
You can run several at once
Devin coordinates parallel Devins across separate tasks. Novix safely runs several independent report-to-fix loops at once on Pro and Enterprise, but it does not coordinate a fleet of agents against one larger objective.
It is cheap to try
A free single-seat tier, and $20 a month for Pro. Novix is free to start too, with seven days of its own Pro included, and then $1.49 for each approved fix.

The report never has to become a task first
Novix connects to help desks, chat, trackers and alerting, and brings its own intake: a chat widget, a hosted form and one address to forward mail to.
It decides what is worth working on
Spam and outside feedback are set aside before any expensive model call. A question gets an answer drafted from your code and known issues rather than a patch, so nothing reaches the meter that was never a bug.
A person approves, and no setting turns that off
Novix opens a pull request at most. That is a ceiling in the code, not a mode you can raise.
Somebody has to answer the customer
The last stage drafts the update for whoever reported it, and a person sends it. Devin has nobody to reply to, because the person who filed the bug never reached it.
Which one fits your workflow
Devin is the better tool for a task you have already scoped and would rather not do yourself. Novix is for the report nobody has scoped yet. If your engineers write the tasks and doing them is the bottleneck, buy Devin. If the bottleneck is a queue of customer complaints nobody has turned into tasks, that translation is the whole of what we do, and the two are not really the same purchase.
